Privacy Policy

This page explains how we handle information on this Cat & Jack site: the public pages you load today are static HTML with outbound links to retailers. There are no accounts, no comment forms, and no checkout here.

Effective date: May 2, 2026. If you use this site, you agree to this policy as posted here. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

Introduction

Short version: nothing here asks you to log in, pay, or leave a profile. What you click next is on Target, Amazon, or another company under their rules.

These pages are built around Cat & Jack: categories, sizing, returns, and related context. We want you to see clearly what happens here before you leave for Target, Amazon, Instagram, or other third parties. This policy matches how the pages you load actually behave. It is not legal advice for your situation, and we will edit it when the site changes.

Information We Collect

Personal Information You Give Us

These public pages do not include a login, a newsletter signup, a contact form, or a checkout flow. We do not ask you to create a profile or to submit your name, email address, mailing address, or payment details on this site. If we add something that collects personal information later, we will describe it here and, where required, ask for consent before collection.

Non-Personal and Technical Information

Like any website delivered over the internet, requests you make may generate routine technical records on the systems that host or serve the site. Depending on how the host is configured, those records can include items such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, your browser type, and a referrer URL. We do not use those records on our side to build individual advertising profiles, and we do not embed first-party analytics scripts in the templates as they are published today (for example, no Google Analytics tags in these HTML files).

Your device and browser also share standard HTTP information with any server you contact, including when you load fonts or other assets from third-party domains. That behavior is described further under Cookies and third-party services.

How We Use Information

Hosting and server logs, if available to us, are used for normal operation and security: for example, troubleshooting errors, detecting abuse, and understanding aggregate traffic levels. We do not use this site to send marketing email because we do not collect email addresses here. We do not run on-site behavioral remarketing pixels in the templates you load here today.

If we change how the site is built (for example, by adding analytics or a contact form), we will update this policy so the description stays accurate.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Local storage and similar tools work in a comparable way. We do not run a first-party cookie banner on these pages today because the experience is mostly informational HTML plus light JavaScript (for example, a small script that sets the copyright year in the footer).

When you load web fonts from Google Fonts, Google's servers may process technical data related to that request. Google may use cookies or similar technologies according to its own policies. You can read Google's privacy documentation for details and can use browser settings to restrict third-party cookies or to request Do Not Track behavior where your browser supports it. Note that blocking fonts may change how the site looks.

When you follow a link to another company's site, that company controls cookies and tracking on their pages, not ours.

Third-Party Services and Embedded Experiences

This Cat & Jack site links out to services we do not operate. Examples you will see in the page templates include:

  • Target (including Target.com, Target Help, and hosted size-chart HTML fragments used as sources on our size chart page). Those destinations have their own privacy policies and terms.
  • Amazon. Some links to Amazon include affiliate parameters in the URL (for example, an associate tag). If you click those links, Amazon receives information according to Amazon's policies, and any commission or tracking tied to the program is governed by Amazon, not by checkout on this site.
  • Google Fonts for typography, as described above.
  • Social and press links (for example, Instagram or news sites) that open in a new tab when you choose them.

We do not control third-party sites. Please read their policies before you sign in, buy, or submit personal information there.

Data Sharing and Sales

We do not sell personal information collected through an account here, because we do not operate accounts on this site. We do not broker a mailing list from these pages because we do not collect one here.

Technical service providers involved in hosting or securing the site may process limited technical data solely to provide those services. Outbound links you choose may cause third parties to collect information under their own policies. That is not a "sale" by us of data you typed into a form here, but it can still be tracking in the everyday sense once you leave our pages.

Data Security

We follow reasonable practices appropriate to a small static website, including keeping content served over HTTPS when the hosting environment supports it. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information in transit to third parties or against factors outside our control.

Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not operate accounts on this site, there is no on-site dashboard where you can download a "profile" from us. You can still use common privacy tools: clear cookies, use private browsing, block third-party trackers where your browser allows, and avoid clicking outbound links you do not want.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing of personal information held by businesses. We are not positioned to verify requests about data held entirely by Target, Amazon, or Google, but if you believe we hold personal information about you from a future feature, contact us at the email below and we will respond in line with applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The content here discusses children's apparel and related topics, but the site is intended for adults who shop or research purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us in a way we did not intend, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it if we can locate it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site's functionality changes or when laws require clearer language. When we update it, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
